Juno Award-winning pianist Andy Milne and his trio Unison play Flato Markham Theatre on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 8 p.m.
Tickets range from $15 to $88 through the theatre box office at 171 Town Centre Blvd. The theatre offers $15 YouthTIX seats for most shows this season, and parking is free.
A return visit
Milne played a showcase at the theatre last year, and this concert brings him back for a full-length show. The city's season announcement said the trio will share music from his album Time Will Tell.
We're stoked to bring him back for a full show after having him for a showcase last year.
— Scott Hill, acting general manager, Flato Markham Theatre
Milne has worked in creative jazz for more than 30 years and built much of his reputation on collaborations with dancers, poets and visual artists. A preview of the theatre's January lineup said he is now rediscovering his love for the piano trio.
Part of an anniversary season
The concert is part of the 2025-26 Diamond Season at the 527-seat, city-run theatre, which marks 40 years since the venue opened in 1985. The city described the season as spanning music, theatre, dance, holiday shows and global artists.
Jazz has a steady place in the lineup. John Pizzarelli played the theatre in November, and Jazz at Lincoln Center's Great American Crooners and guitarist Mike Stern are booked for March.
The theatre follows with a Tina Turner tribute on Jan. 30 and the Grand Shanghai Circus on Jan. 31.
