Art lovers have until Sunday, Jan. 11, to see the current rotation of the Art Gallery of Mississauga's Spotlight on the Permanent Collection, which has featured work by Don Carr since Dec. 4.

The rotating exhibition highlights acquisitions from Mississauga artists that are part of the AGM's permanent collection. The series opened on Oct. 25, 2025, with a first rotation featuring Jorian Charlton and Fausta Facciponte that ran until Nov. 30. The Don Carr rotation followed in December.

The exhibition is curated by Musha Neluheni, the AGM's TD Programming Curator.

Local work on public view

Rotations like this one put work by artists from the city on public view for a limited time, giving residents a look at how the gallery has been collecting from their own community. Because each rotation runs for only a few weeks, the Don Carr works come off view after Sunday. Admission to the gallery is free, with donations appreciated.

The gallery is at 300 City Centre Dr., the same address as City Hall, where the Mayor's New Year's Levee takes place on the exhibition's closing afternoon.

There are only a handful of opportunities left. The gallery stays open until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, and is open from noon to 4 p.m. on the final weekend, Saturday, Jan. 10, and Sunday, Jan. 11.
