Drivers in Thorold face a temporary closure on Barron Road between Glover Road and Polloway Road on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, while Hydro One carries out maintenance in the area.
According to a City of Thorold road closure notice, Hydro One has closed that section of the road for the work. Local traffic can still access the stretches leading to either end of the closure.
Access remains available from Allanport Road to Glover Road, and from Thorold Townline to Polloway Road. Those local-access sections are separate from the closed stretch between Glover and Polloway roads.
The notice does not specify the hours of the closure or a reopening time.
