Brampton businesses and entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to give city leaders feedback on the proposed 2026 municipal budget during a virtual roundtable on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
The session runs from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Eastern time on WebEx, according to a City of Brampton announcement. Participants must register to receive the online meeting link.
The city’s Invest Brampton Economic Development Office is hosting the Budget 2026 Business Virtual Roundtable to explain the proposed budget and gather perspectives from the local business community.
Mayor Patrick Brown and councillors Gurpartap Singh Toor and Rowena Santos, identified in the announcement as Economic Development Committee leaders, will lead the discussion.
The city says the session will focus on budget priorities affecting businesses, the relationship between spending decisions and economic development objectives, and feedback that can inform municipal decision-making.
Business priorities on the agenda
The roundtable is intended to give business owners a forum to discuss priorities tied to economic growth, competitiveness and quality of life in Brampton.
In outlining the purpose of the meeting, the city points to infrastructure, workforce development, investment attraction and service delivery as areas where municipal budgets help shape the business environment.
Participants will be able to learn about the proposed budget’s business-related priorities and share their views during the interactive discussion. The invitation extends to Brampton businesses and entrepreneurs interested in taking part in the budget conversation.
