Caledon Day returns Saturday, June 20 for its 17th year, and this time the town is bringing a national headliner with it.
Canadian country music star Brett Kissel will close out the evening at the Caledon East Community Complex, following a high-energy performance by a Taylor Swift tribute band, according to the Town of Caledon. Fireworks will wrap up the night.
The free, all-ages event runs from 2 to 10 p.m., with kids' activities, local vendors and live music throughout the day. Kissel, a 3-time JUNO Award winner with 23 CCMA Awards and 20 Top 10 radio hits, brings national recognition to the hometown celebration.
Getting there
Free shuttle buses will run between 2 and 10 p.m. from the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness and Southfields Community Centre.
Free parking will be available at Robert F. Hall on Old Church Road and St. Cornelius on Innis Lake Road, with a shuttle running between both schools and the event grounds from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. There will be no public parking at Town Hall.
The trailway will be closed from noon to 11 p.m. on event day. Attendees are asked to use the main entrance, where a free bike valet will be available.
Local performers, local causes
The Tim Hortons Community Stage will feature six local performances between 2:30 and 6 p.m., while the Food Performer Zone offers five afternoon performances from 2:50 to 6 p.m.
Caledon Community Services will hold Velocity, its annual cycling fundraiser, at Caledon East Park the same day. Riders can choose from four scenic routes suited to different experience levels, with proceeds supporting Caledon seniors. Registration is open at ccsvelocity.ca.
Meet Argo, check out the library
Caledon's first public transit service, Argo, will have a booth at the festival with the bus on site. The pilot will connect Bolton, Mayfield West and Caledon East through one integrated local transit network, with links to neighbouring transit systems.
Caledon Library will also be out in force, offering hands-on crafts, live Makerspace demonstrations and early registration for the Summer Reading Club.
A Green Corner, hosted by the town's Energy and Environment team, will feature vendors including Know Energy, The Atmospheric Fund, the Centre for Community Energy Transformation and Mitsubishi Canada.
What to know before you go
Local vendors will sell beer and wine inside the licensed event area, but outside alcohol is not permitted at town events. Anyone who buys an advance ticket will be entered in a raffle for a Brett Kissel-signed poster.
The recognition keeps stacking up, too: Festivals and Events Ontario has again named Caledon Day one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in the province for 2025.
