The Town of Caledon has named the winners of its 2026 Civic Awards Program, an annual recognition of residents whose work has enriched the community across recreation and sport, arts and culture, environmental stewardship and community service.

The winners will be formally honoured at Caledon Day on Saturday, June 20, 2026, according to a Town of Caledon news release.

The program celebrates individuals whose contributions help strengthen Caledon and enhance quality of life across the community, the release said. Awards span two broad categories covering achievements in recreation and sport, arts and culture, environmental stewardship and community service.

Each year, the Civic Awards shine a spotlight on the remarkable people who make a lasting difference in our community,

Mayor Annette Groves said in the release. "Through volunteerism, leadership, and a commitment to serving others, these recipients help foster a stronger, more connected Caledon. We look forward to recognizing and celebrating their achievements with the community at Caledon Day."

Nominations were reviewed by a Community Recognition Task Force, a group of community volunteers who assessed candidates based on their contributions to Caledon. The task force's recommendations were then presented to Town Council for approval.

The town is encouraging residents to attend Caledon Day, join the festivities and help celebrate the accomplishments of this year's honourees alongside their neighbours.

Caledon is home to close to 80,000 residents and about 4,000 businesses, and is known for its natural attractions and rural character within the Greater Toronto Area. Under provincial growth plans, it is projected to grow to roughly 300,000 residents and 125,000 jobs by 2051.

The town's current strategic plan lists environmental leadership, community vitality and livability, enhanced transportation and mobility, and service excellence and accountability as its priorities.
