Visitors to Fieldgate Sports Complex and Roybrook Park in Whitby will be unable to use the central parking lot on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, while asphalt paving takes place.
According to a Town of Whitby service disruption notice, the closure will begin at 7 a.m. that day. The lot is expected to reopen at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026.
The affected lot is at 2 Gathering Place, with access from Kent Mills Road on the west side of the sports complex. The notice identifies it as the central parking lot for Fieldgate Sports Complex and Roybrook Park.
The town says the work will finish the parking lot’s final asphalt paving. The scheduled closure covers a 24-hour period, although the reopening time is listed as an expectation.
