Ajax residents have two days left to weigh in on the Durham Catholic District School Board's next multi-year strategic plan.

The board, which operates Catholic elementary and secondary schools across Durham Region, including several in Ajax, opened an online survey this fall as it begins developing the plan that will guide its priorities for years to come.

The survey closes on October 16, 2026, according to the Durham Catholic District School Board.

In its announcement, the board said feedback from students, families and community members will "help shape our priorities and guide the future of Catholic education in Durham Region."

The multi-year strategic plan is the board's overarching document, setting the direction and goals that inform budget decisions, programming and day-to-day operations at its schools. The current process will produce the plan that succeeds the board's existing strategy.

Along with the survey, the board says additional engagement opportunities will be part of the planning process. Details about timelines and how to get involved are posted at dcdsb.ca/StrategicPlanning.

The survey itself is linked from the board's website and takes only a few minutes to complete, the board said.

Residents of Ajax and the rest of Durham Region who want a say in the board's future direction — including parents, guardians, students, staff and other community members — are encouraged to respond before the October 16 deadline.
