Ajax residents who receive email updates from the Region of Durham will need to take action to keep getting them.
The Region has updated its website, durham.ca, and its email subscription categories have changed as a result. The municipal government says it has sent its final email to current subscribers about the change.
Anyone who wants to continue receiving email updates from the Region is asked to visit durham.ca/subscribe to review and renew their subscriptions. According to the Region, the eNewsletters keep residents up to date on its activities, events, programs and operations.
The change comes as part of a broader refresh of the Region's website, which serves the eight municipalities of Durham, including Ajax, Pickering and Whitby.
Residents with questions can reach the Region by dialing 311 from within region limits, or 905-668-7711 from outside the area. A toll-free line is also available at 1-800-372-1102, and TTY users can dial 711.
The Region's headquarters are located at 605 Rossland Road East in Whitby.
