Drivers travelling on Lake Ridge Road in Brock and Uxbridge townships will face lane restrictions during reconstruction and rehabilitation work scheduled to begin October 5, 2026, according to a Region of Durham notice.

The project is expected to continue until July 2027, with a winter break in construction. The region says unfavourable weather could change the schedule.

The affected stretch of Lake Ridge Road, also known as Regional Road 23, extends from 200 metres north of Ravenshoe Road to 75 metres south of Concession Road 7.

Construction is scheduled to pause from December 1, 2026, to May 1, 2027. The notice does not specify the number of lanes that will be restricted or the hours when restrictions will apply.

The work is intended to reconstruct and rehabilitate the road. Durham acknowledges that construction will be disruptive and says it will work to complete the project as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The region is asking drivers to use caution around the work area to help keep construction crews safe.

Residents can check the region’s interactive TrafficWatch map at durham.ca/TrafficWatch for traffic information.
