Drivers using Ritson Road North in Oshawa will face lane restrictions between Conlin Road East and Britannia Road East while crews build a temporary asphalt sidewalk, according to a Region of Durham notice.
The restrictions are scheduled from October 12 to November 20. The region cautions that unfavourable weather could affect the work schedule.
The work is on Ritson Road North, also designated Regional Road 16. The lane restrictions are intended to allow crews to carry out the sidewalk construction safely.
The region is asking motorists to drive cautiously through the affected stretch to help protect pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
Durham acknowledges that the construction may cause disruption and says it will work to finish the project as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Residents can check the region’s TrafficWatch service at durham.ca/TrafficWatch for an interactive map of current construction projects and updated traffic information.
