Niagara Regional Police are asking Niagara Falls residents for help identifying a suspect in an aggravated assault that left a 23-year-old man with facial injuries last month.

Uniform officers from the service's 2 District, which covers Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, responded to the area of McLeod Road near Pin Oak Drive at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, after reports of a disturbance, according to a Niagara Regional Police Service news release.

What police say happened

Officers found a 23-year-old man with facial injuries at the scene. Niagara Emergency Medical Services took him to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined the man had been walking southbound on Pin Oak Drive when he was confronted by a male driving a red Dodge Ram pickup truck as the driver tried to exit a business onto Pin Oak Drive. The victim was struck several times with a closed fist before the driver got back into the truck and fled the area, police said.

Detectives also want to speak with a passenger

The 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau has taken over the case and is asking the public for help identifying the suspect.

Police say a passenger was seen in the vehicle, and detectives are also asking the public to help identify that person so they can speak with him.
