Peel Regional Police have charged one man and are searching for a second after two adult men were stabbed during a parking dispute in Mississauga on Saturday evening.

Officers were called to the area of Dundas Street West and Parkerhill Road at about 5 p.m. on August 29 after reports of a disturbance in a parking lot, Peel Regional Police said.

When officers arrived, they found two adult men suffering from stab wounds. Police say the incident followed a reported parking dispute.

Both victims in stable condition

Both men were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police said they are now in stable condition.

Officers searched the surrounding area and quickly located one of the suspects without incident. Ali Halimi, a 30-year-old Mississauga man, has been arrested and charged with assault.

Investigators say a second male suspect remains outstanding and is wanted for attempted murder. Police believe that suspect stabbed the victims and may still be in possession of the knife.

Suspect considered armed and dangerous

Police are warning residents not to approach the suspect if they see him, describing him as armed and dangerous, and to call 911 immediately instead.

Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are asking anyone with information about the suspect to come forward. Tips can be directed to 11 Division CIB at 905-453-2121, ext. 1133.

The investigation is ongoing. No further details about the suspect have been released by police.
