An Ottawa Catholic School Board teacher has been arrested and charged in a historical sexual offence investigation involving a student, Ottawa Police Service said in a release dated Oct. 7, 2026.
Police identified the accused as Nancy Lescarbeau, 52, of Ottawa. According to police, the incidents under investigation occurred between 2021 and 2022.
The investigation is being handled by the service’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit. The release does not list the specific charges against Lescarbeau or identify the school involved.
Investigators are concerned there could be other students who were victims, according to police. They are asking anyone with information to contact the unit.
