Peel Regional Police have recovered stolen property valued at nearly $800,000 following an investigation in Brampton.

Investigators from the force's Commercial Auto Crime Bureau (CACB) made the discovery on July 22, 2026, near the intersection of Heart Lake Rd and Countryside Dr, according to Peel Regional Police.

What police found

Officers attended the area as part of a follow-up investigation into a stolen trailer. While searching the site, they located and recovered four stolen commercial vehicles and trailers worth an estimated $105,000 combined.

The vehicle recovery, however, was only part of what investigators uncovered.

While examining the recovered trailers, police found two shipments of stolen computer equipment stored inside. The cargo was unrelated to the vehicle thefts that brought investigators to the location in the first place.

Investigators believe the computer equipment had been loaded into the stolen trailers after being taken in two separate thefts on July 17 and July 20, 2026.

Total value nears $800,000

The recovered computer equipment has an estimated value of $681,083.68. Combined with the four vehicles and trailers, the total value of everything recovered by police stands at $786,083.68.

No suspects have been identified in connection with the investigation, police said.

Call for information

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incidents to come forward. Tips can be directed to the Commercial Auto Crime Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 3313, Peel Regional Police said.

The recovery is one of the larger hauls in recent memory for the bureau, which focuses on thefts involving commercial vehicles and cargo — a persistent issue for the industrial-heavy areas of Brampton and the wider GTA, where trucks, trailers and freight regularly move through distribution corridors.
