Police are asking for information and footage after three suspects broke into two locked storage containers and stole landscaping tools near Sandy Beach Road and Bayly Street in Pickering.
Durham Regional Police said the break-in happened at approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025. Investigators are seeking two male suspects and one female suspect in connection with the theft.
According to police, the suspects entered two metal storage containers and took numerous landscaping tools, including DeWalt equipment. Police said the stolen items were initially left in a nearby hydro field.
The suspects later returned to collect the tools, police said. Investigators believe a white van may have been used to help retrieve them, but the vehicle’s involvement has not been confirmed.
Descriptions released
Police described the female suspect as white, with long blonde hair. She was wearing a white scarf, a black trench-style coat, dark pants and red-and-black sneakers.
One male suspect was wearing a black balaclava, a blue Adidas jacket, a white hoodie, black pants and brown boots. The police description did not specify his race or provide other physical characteristics.
The other male suspect was described as white, with a moustache. Police said he had a backpack and a headlamp, and was wearing a blue toque, a dark grey coat, a black hoodie, black pants and white-and-black sneakers.
