Whitby readers planning a bus trip through downtown Oshawa on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, should note temporary eastbound route changes for PULSE 900 and Route 902.
According to a Durham Region Transit detour notice, the changes will run from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Eastern time. Road closures for Oshawa Tourism’s annual Halloween Boo Bash are prompting the detours.
Eastbound PULSE 900 buses will travel along Simcoe Street, William Street and Mary Street through the affected area. Westbound buses will continue to follow their regular route.
Route 902 will use the same eastbound detour along Simcoe Street, William Street and Mary Street. Its westbound service will also remain on its usual route.
Durham Region Transit says buses will serve all stops along the detour route. The notice does not identify individual temporary stops.
The transit agency lists 1-866-247-0055 as its customer contact number.
