Raptors 905 opened 2026 with a loss and a win at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, falling to the San Diego Clippers on Friday before coming from behind to beat the Noblesville Boom on Tuesday night.
Late push falls short against San Diego
On Jan. 2, the Clippers held off a fourth-quarter rally to win 114-110. San Diego led 58-48 at halftime and carried an 87-74 lead into the final quarter. The 905 outscored the visitors 36-27 in the fourth but could not close the gap, according to ESPN's box score.
Patrick Baldwin Jr. led the Clippers with 23 points on 10-of-11 shooting. Alijah Martin, who is on a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors, led the 905 with 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting.
Comeback win over Noblesville
On Jan. 6, the 905 shook off a slow start to beat the Boom, the Indiana Pacers' G League affiliate, 107-95. Noblesville opened the game on a 12-2 run and led by 13 in the first quarter before the 905 answered with eight straight points. The Boom shot 47.4 per cent from the field and 50 per cent from three-point range in the opening quarter and led by seven after 12 minutes.
The 905 outscored the Boom 29-22 in the second quarter to tie the game at halftime, took an 80-75 lead into the fourth and pulled away with a 13-3 run down the stretch. They held Noblesville to 33.3 per cent shooting in the final quarter.
Martin again led the way with 23 points, four rebounds and four assists on 9-of-15 shooting. A.J. Lawson added 19 points, and Quincy Guerrier had 14 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Jalen Slawson led the Boom with 16 points, six rebounds and three blocks, while Cody Martin had 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Au'Diese Toney added 15 points.
The win improved the 905 to 6-1, according to the Boom's game report, while Noblesville fell to 3-4.
