Raptors 905 won three home games in four days at Paramount Fine Foods Centre, one by a single point, before their run ended Tuesday night with a 126-122 loss to the Cleveland Charge.

Thursday: a big third quarter

In a late-morning game on Feb. 5, the 905 beat the Grand Rapids Gold 137-109 in front of 4,701 fans. Toronto's G League affiliate trailed 61-57 at halftime, then outscored Grand Rapids 42-19 in the third quarter.

A.J. Lawson led the way with 29 points. David Roddy had 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, Jarkel Joiner added 19 points and seven assists, and Alijah Martin scored 18. James Akinjo scored 34 for Grand Rapids.

Saturday: won at the line

The rematch on Feb. 7 was much closer. The 905 were down 69-56 at the half but rallied to lead 95-94 after three quarters. With three seconds left, Akinjo made one of two free throws to put the Gold ahead 124-123.

On the next possession, Olivier Sarr was fouled with two seconds remaining and made both free throws. Akinjo's three-point try at the buzzer missed, and the 905 won 125-124 before 4,314 fans.

Roddy led the 905 with 26 points. Martin had 18 points and eight assists, Lawson scored 18 and Sarr finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. Grand Rapids centre Moses Brown had 37 points and 12 rebounds.

Sunday: another third-quarter surge

A day later, the 905 beat the Motor City Cruise 112-99. Again the third quarter decided it: Raptors 905 outscored Motor City 35-11 in that frame to pull away.

Tyson Degenhart scored 24 points and Julian Reese had 20 points and 17 rebounds. Roddy filled the stat sheet again with 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, and Patrick McCaw added 14. Wendell Moore Jr. scored 21 for the Cruise.

Tuesday: comeback falls short

On the road in Cleveland, the 905 fell behind 73-56 at halftime. They won the fourth quarter 40-25 but could not close the gap and lost 126-122.

Jonathan Mogbo scored 35 points with seven rebounds. Lawson had 19, Martin 18, and Roddy posted 17 points and 15 rebounds. Tristan Enaruna led Cleveland with 22 points.
