Raptors 905 opened the week with a fourth-quarter comeback on the road but could not carry that form home, losing three games in a row at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

Late surge in College Park

On Thursday, Feb. 26, the 905 trailed the College Park Skyhawks 84-79 after three quarters at the Gateway Center in Georgia. They answered with 37 points in the fourth to win 116-111.

Tyreke Key led the way with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Alijah Martin and Olivier Sarr each scored 17, with Sarr adding 11 rebounds, while AJ Hoggard had 16 points and six assists and Tyson Degenhart added 14. The 905 scored 62 points in the paint. RayJ Dennis had 31 points for College Park.

Greensboro takes both weekend games

Back in Mississauga on Saturday, the Greensboro Swarm built a 69-50 halftime lead and held on for a 126-114 win. PJ Hall did the damage inside with 27 points and 19 rebounds, 10 of them on the offensive glass, as Greensboro won the rebounding battle 50-39. Martin scored 26 for the 905, Hoggard had 24 while making all four of his three-point attempts, and A.J. Lawson added 21.

Sunday's rematch was one-sided. Greensboro led from start to finish, built a lead of as many as 37 points and won 141-106 while shooting 58 per cent from the field. Marcus Garrett scored 29 on 12-of-16 shooting and Terrell Brown Jr. handed out 13 assists. Martin had 22 points and Jarkel Joiner 21 for Raptors 905, who made 10 of 40 three-pointers.

Narrow loss to Rio Grande Valley

On Wednesday, a late-morning crowd of 5,041 watched the 905 nearly erase a 15-point halftime deficit against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Raptors 905 won the third quarter 36-17 to take a 94-90 lead, but the Vipers took the fourth 33-27 and won 123-121.

David Roddy scored 27 points with five three-pointers, Key added 23 and Lawson had 18. Hoggard filled the stat sheet with 15 points, 14 assists and seven steals. The 905 shot 56 per cent and had 38 assists, but committed 21 turnovers. Daishen Nix led Rio Grande Valley with 27 points.
