St. Catharines children ages 3 to 13 have until Nov. 6 at 4:30 p.m. to submit a drawing for Mayor Mat Siscoe’s annual holiday card contest, with four entries to be selected for the 2026 card.
The competition invites elementary school-aged children to create artwork around the theme “Holiday Magic in St. Catharines,” the City of St. Catharines said in a contest announcement.
Drawings should depict somewhere in St. Catharines or a favourite holiday tradition. The city’s examples include places children enjoy eating, playing or visiting, with the holiday season as the focus.
Siscoe said he wants to feature local students’ designs and share their work with leaders in the community and beyond.
Entry requirements and prizes
For artwork submitted by mail or dropped off, entrants must put their first and last names, address and telephone number on the back of the drawing.
All entries must arrive by the Nov. 6 deadline. The city says that cutoff allows enough time to print the cards before the holidays.
The four selected drawings will be featured on the mayor’s holiday cards along with each winning child’s first name and age. Each winner will also receive a St. Catharines-themed prize pack.
