Thorold residents will be back on the ice next week, as the Thorold Community Arena opens for the season on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
According to the City of Thorold, this year's programming includes some new additional skating times alongside returning favourites.
What's on the schedule
The lineup features public skating and 55+ senior skating sessions, tiny tots skating programs, stick 'n puck for children and youth, and shinny hockey for adults, according to the city.

The arena is located at 3540 Schmon Parkway in Thorold.
The city is also encouraging residents to subscribe to its newsletter, announcements and alerts to stay informed about events, programs and emergency updates.
Road closures across Thorold
Alongside the arena announcement, the City of Thorold has listed several road closures affecting travel in the community.
Hydro One temporarily closed a section of Barron Road between Glover Road and Polloway Road on Wednesday, Oct. 7, for hydro maintenance in the area.
The Allanburg Bridge will be closed from Oct. 13 to Nov. 11.
Sullivan Avenue, between Towpath Street and Front Street, was closed on Friday, Oct. 2, and is expected to remain closed for approximately three weeks.
Crompton Boulevard has been closed to through traffic from Richmond Street to the south end of Crompton Boulevard since Sept. 9. Bolton Avenue remains open through the Crompton Boulevard intersection, and Richmond Street and Queen Street are also open, according to the city.
