Whitby has adopted updated heritage conservation district plans for Brooklin and Werden’s Plan Neighbourhood, with a June 10 deadline for filing notices of appeal.

In a notice posted on its website, the Town of Whitby said it passed two by-laws to adopt the updates. By-law 8279-26 covers the Brooklin Heritage Conservation District Plan, while By-law 8280-26 covers the Werden’s Plan Neighbourhood Heritage Conservation District Plan.

Any notice of appeal must be filed with the Town Clerk by 4:30 p.m. Eastern time on June 10, 2026, according to the town.

Residents and property owners can review the updated plans on the town’s Heritage Conservation Districts webpage. The page also provides a description of the study and a map showing the lands covered by the plans.

The town has posted a separate notice of passing for each by-law. Those notices identify the updated plan for each district.

The announcement does not outline the individual changes to the plans. Readers seeking those details can consult the updated documents and the notices available through the town’s website.
