A male youth has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault near Constellation Drive and Sunray Drive in Mississauga, according to Peel Regional Police. Investigators are asking anyone with information, or any additional victims, to contact the Special Victims Unit.

Police said the victim contacted them on May 20 at approximately 8:30 p.m. She reported that a male she did not know had approached her in the area and allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The victim was able to get away from the suspect and leave the scene. Police said she did not sustain any injuries.

Investigators with the Special Victims Unit identified and arrested a male youth on Tuesday, June 30, in connection with the incident.

Police are not releasing the youth’s name. The police release cites a provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act that prohibits identifying a young person.
