An exhibition celebrating the musicians, venues and sounds that shaped Mississauga's music scene is returning to Adamson Estate this month for its second year.
A City in Tune: Mississauga's Greatest Hits, presented by the Museums of Mississauga, runs from September 24 to December 27, 2026, according to a City of Mississauga news release. The exhibit will be open during public hours, Thursday through Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.
The all-new exhibition invites visitors to listen, reflect and learn about the city's musical talent through artifacts, instruments and archival materials from artists such as Triumph, Donna Grantis and Billy Talent.
What visitors can expect
The display features large-scale portraits of some of Mississauga's best-known musicians, a map of iconic music venues and attractions across the city, and curated playlists highlighting artists with connections to Mississauga.
The city says the exhibit is designed with a sophisticated look and feel, paired with the nostalgia of black-and-white photography.
Opening reception
The Museums team will host an opening reception on Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving visitors a chance to be among the first to explore the exhibit and celebrate the homegrown talent and local stories behind Mississauga's music history.
Registration is required in advance, as space is limited.
Member preview night
Annual members of the Museums of Mississauga will get an early look, with a members preview night scheduled for Wednesday, September 23. Membership includes exclusive access and discounts to exhibitions, events and programs throughout the year.
A City in Tune: Mississauga's Greatest Hits takes place at Adamson Estate, 850 Enola Ave., in Mississauga.
