Niagara Falls will ring in 2027 with a live outdoor concert at the brink of the Falls for the first time since 2019, headlined by American country music star Riley Green.
The Dec. 31 show also features Canadian country acts The Reklaws, Tenille Townes and Sacha. The Canadian Country Music Association is producing the event in partnership with Niagara Parks and the City of Niagara Falls, according to a City of Niagara Falls news release.
The 90-minute special begins at 10:30 p.m. ET and will stream live on Crave, available through both Standard with Ads and Premium plans as well as a free Bell Media account, and will also air on CP24. Interviews and additional coverage will run on iHeartRadio Canada and PURE Country, with the special available on demand afterward.
A tradition returns
For decades, the city has hosted major New Year's Eve concerts, with past outdoor bills that included Bryan Adams, Nick Jonas and Keith Urban. The release said the event is expected to help drive winter visitation, support local businesses and showcase the region to audiences across Canada.
"Bringing a live New Year's Eve concert back to Niagara Falls is an exciting milestone for our destination and an opportunity to create a memorable experience for residents and visitors alike," Niagara Parks Chief Executive Officer David Adames said in the release.
Niagara Falls hosts 14 million people each year, so we know how to roll out the red carpet – and we can't wait to be able to do that again for the biggest celebration of the year, as we reach viewers across the country with our New Year's Eve Show!
Mayor Jim Diodati made the remark in the release, adding that the show's return "means so much to our community and to visitors who look to experience the magic of the falls alongside incredible country music and an unforgettable party."
Countdown already underway
A countdown clock overlooking the Falls at Table Rock is already ticking toward Dec. 31. It was originally installed to build excitement for FIFA World Cup 2026 celebrations and now marks the concert's approach.
"Country music has a remarkable ability to bring people together, and there is no more spectacular backdrop for a national celebration than Niagara Falls," Canadian Country Music Association President Amy Jeninga said in the release.
Green arrives with a string of platinum-selling hits, including "There Was This Girl" and "I Wish Grandpas Never Died," along with seven No. 1 songs, five ACM Awards and four CMA Awards. His fourth studio album, That's Just Me, was released Sept. 18 on Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment.
The release notes residents can sign up through the city for updates on the special, including show announcements, artist reveals and tune-in details as the countdown continues.
