A new dedicated Nintendo shopping space opens at the EB Games Yonge & Dundas location in downtown Toronto on Friday, Oct. 17.

The space is designed to make it easier for shoppers to find and buy Nintendo products in one spot, offering the latest hardware and games along with accessories, merchandise and more, according to Nintendo's announcement on its Canadian website.

Shoppers who visit on opening day can receive a gift with a qualifying purchase, while supplies last. Nintendo said the offer is available only on Oct. 17 and only at the Yonge & Dundas EB Games location.

What to expect

The dedicated section brings together a wide range of Nintendo items under one roof, replacing what shoppers would typically have to hunt for across separate shelves. The company is pitching it as a more focused retail experience for fans of its consoles, games and branded merchandise.

No purchase details were given about what the opening-day gift will be, and Nintendo did not say how long supplies are expected to last.

The announcement did not include an exact street address beyond the Yonge and Dundas location, which sits in one of the busiest shopping corridors in downtown Toronto.

Shoppers hoping to take advantage of the opening-day offer will need to make a qualifying purchase in store on Friday. Nintendo said the promotion is exclusive to the EB Games Yonge & Dundas location and will not run beyond opening day.
