Mississauga residents can plan for free outdoor movies, fitness classes, concerts and World Cup watch parties at Celebration Square as the City rolls out its May-to-October event lineup.

A City of Mississauga advisory published May 19 outlines activities for all ages, with weekly programming, weekend festivals and opportunities to hear local musicians. The lineup also includes children’s storytelling and a Wednesday market organized by the Lions Club.

For soccer fans, free FIFA World Cup 2026 watch parties are planned from June 11 to July 19. Matches will be shown on the square’s large screen, though the City says screenings will be scheduled around programming already booked at the venue.

That means the watch-party date range is not a promise that every match will be screened. The City’s announcement directs visitors to the screening schedule for details.

Weekly activities and outdoor entertainment

City instructors will lead outdoor fitness classes on Wednesdays. The announced options include Zumba, Bollywood, total-body workouts, yoga, strength and stretching.

Wednesdays will also bring children’s stories to the square, with weekly themes, alongside the Lions Club market. Market vendors will offer fresh produce, treats and artisan goods, giving visitors a chance to shop locally while attending activities.

The City says festivals will take place every weekend as part of the square’s cultural programming. Live music presented in partnership with the Mississauga Arts Council will feature emerging Mississauga artists.

Outdoor movie screenings will pair family-friendly films with interactive pre-shows. Free reusable dishes and drinkware will be available on site for visitors having snacks during the movies.

Celebration Square also has the City’s largest wading pool. The advisory points visitors to its operating hours and highlights food trucks, large screens and live events at the square.

Summer pass offers youth free transit

Young people ages 12 to 16 can use the Sauga Summer Pass for free MiWay rides from June 26 through September 7, 2026, including trips to activities at Celebration Square.

The pass also provides access to public fun swims at all City indoor and outdoor pools. Fitness centre access is included for pass holders ages 14 to 16.

Residents can find activity details through the City’s saugaLIVE webpage. The announcement includes links to the event calendar, movie and fitness schedules, storytelling themes and wading-pool hours.

The City has also made the advisory available in Arabic, Traditional Chinese, Polish, Punjabi and Urdu.
