Township of Ramara facilities, including the Voter Assistance Centre, will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026, for the Thanksgiving holiday, with regular hours resuming Tuesday, October 13.

The closure affects the township administration building at 2297 Highway 12 and all township facilities, according to a Township of Ramara bulletin. Regular office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, except holidays.

Voter assistance sessions this month

The bulletin lists voter assistance sessions for residents ahead of the municipal election. A session was held Saturday at the Ramara Administration Building from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Two more sessions are scheduled this week at the Ramara Centre, located at 5482 Highway 12. The first runs Thursday, October 15, from 4 to 8 p.m., and the second takes place Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents can find election information on the township's election page, the Township of Ramara bulletin notes, at ramara.ca/election.

Council meetings and staying informed

Council meetings remain available two ways, according to the bulletin: streamed on the Township of Ramara's YouTube channel, or in person in the Council Chambers at the administration building at 2297 Highway 12. Residents can read Council Highlights and learn how to communicate with Council through the township's website.

Outside regular office hours, the township offers other ways for residents to stay connected. Its Community Information System sends alerts about emergencies and other township and community news to email, home phone, cell phone and fax through the Alertable platform.

Non-emergency concerns related to township responsibilities can also be reported online. A valid email address is required to create a service request ticket, the bulletin states.

The township encourages residents to visit ramara.ca or follow its social media channels for ongoing updates and information.
