The playground at Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park is temporarily closed for a full reconstruction, according to a City of Pickering notice.
The work began Monday, October 19 and is scheduled to run through Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
The project includes new playground equipment with rubberized safety surfacing, along with new swing equipment set on new engineered wood fibre safety surfacing.
Timeline could shift
The City cautions that the project dates are estimates and could change. Weather, contractor and material availability, and unexpected conditions found during excavation may all affect the schedule.
The City thanked residents in the notice for their patience while the work is completed.
