Peel election results give Patrick Brown the lead in Brampton, Alvin Tedjo the mayor’s office in Mississauga and Christina Early the top job in Caledon, according to the municipalities’ published returns from the October 26 vote.
Brampton and Mississauga still describe their figures as unofficial. Caledon’s main election page now lists its figures under “Official Vote Results,” although its separate live-results page retains an unofficial label.
Brampton: Brown leads with every location reporting
The City-linked results portal reports Patrick Brown with 65,893 votes, ahead of Wesley Jackson’s 23,236 and Prabh Gill’s 15,257. Brown’s total represents 54.90 per cent of the 120,025 votes recorded for mayoral candidates.
The report was last updated at 11:32 p.m. on October 26, with all 164 voting locations reporting. It records 123,133 ballots cast. Using the portal’s eligible-voter figure of 428,012, turnout was 28.77 per cent.
A much narrower result emerged in the Wards 9 and 10 regional councillor contest: Sukhman Sangha led Gurpreet Singh Dhillon by 286 votes, with 7,406 against 7,120.
The leading regional councillor candidates in the other ward pairs were Paul Vicente in Wards 1 and 5, Michael Paul Palleschi in Wards 2 and 6, Martin Medeiros in Wards 3 and 4, and Rod Power in Wards 7 and 8.
City councillor leaders were Rowena Santos, Navjit Kaur Brar, Dennis Keenan, Taran Chahal and Harkirat Singh in the same respective ward pairs. Complete reporting does not change the portal’s unofficial status.
