Niagara police are asking the public to help identify suspects after two arsons at the same Niagara Falls restaurant on Drummond Road, south of Dunn Street.
The fires occurred in the early morning hours of Aug. 26 and Sept. 26, CHCH reported. Fire crews quickly put out both blazes and limited the damage, according to the report.
Police described two suspects in each incident. In August, they arrived on separate motorcycles; in September, the suspects arrived together as a rider and passenger on one motorcycle.
Suspect descriptions from the August fire
Officers and firefighters responded to the restaurant on Aug. 26 after receiving a report of a fire. Police said the initial investigation identified arson as the cause and determined that two suspects who arrived on motorcycles were involved.
Investigators described the first suspect as wearing a black sweater over a white shirt, grey jeans, black shoes with white trim and a grey motorcycle helmet. That suspect was driving a red motorcycle.
The second suspect was described as wearing a black sweater, dark cargo pants, black shoes with white trim and a blue helmet, and carrying a green backpack. Police said that suspect was driving a black and neon yellow motorcycle.
Second fire in September
Police said the restaurant was targeted by arson again on Sept. 26. Investigators said the descriptions of the two suspects were similar to those from the first incident, though they travelled on a single motorcycle this time.
The rider in the September incident was described as a white male wearing a blue puffer jacket, black pants, black gloves and black shoes. He wore an orange and silver-coloured motorcycle helmet with a visor.
The passenger was described as a white male wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, black shoes and white gloves, along with a black motorcycle helmet with a clear visor.
